Brand Pillars
The Five Pillars of Branding
For a brand to survive and thrive it requires effective and focused support. The five pillars represent the most significant components of every powerful brand. Combined, they create, communicate, and cement your brand’s greatest value.
Leadership
Leadership is, without question, essential to every successful endeavor. Effective leadership is at the core of each and every powerful brand. What’s the first thing that EVERY leader needs? Their first follower. That said, EVERYONE is a leader, so we encourage at leader-leader philosophy versus a leader-follower approach. We begin with an analysis of your leadership (part of our brand audit)
How do you lead? Are you effectively leading?
·Do you nurture other leaders within your organization?
How many people are following your lead?

Behavior
Your behavior – and that of your entire company – tells a powerful story. Behavior is tangible. It can be seen, heard, and felt. Our behavior will have a more significant impact to those we want to lead and influence than the spoken (or written) word. Every individual and every company has basic behavioral tendencies. Many of these traits are deep-rooted and long-held. It’s important to know our behaviors in order to see what works – and what’s not working. Understanding the behavioral tendencies of those we want to lead, those we hope to influence, is equally important. But is that even possible? Absolutely!

Communication
George Bernard Shaw says this about communication: The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place!” Without effective communication, no leader can lead, no messaging will be compelling, relational value won’t exist, and no brand will survive. Communication is essential at every level – from a leader to his followers, across co-workers and teams, internally, externally – every aspect of life.
There is both art and science at play in effective communication. How’s yours?

Influence
What does it take to be truly influential? Giving. Not giving in a material sense, per se, but giving thought and consideration to the other person’s needs, wants, and goals. Influence is a function of pulling – not pushing. Influence is setting a frame of attraction. Attempting to push our wants and needs onto others is not influence – it’s manipulation. Learning the principle of giving value, understanding the objectives of others, and seeking equitable solutions for all involved, will yield greater results and long-term benefit for all parties.

Team
How important is team? Patrick Lencioni puts it this way: "If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." He goes on to say: "Not finance. Not strategy. Not technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare,” Powerful teams – cohesive teams - are built on the basis of trust. Trust allows conflict with the intention of creating better ideas. Conflict, in turn, leads to commitment, accountability, and ultimately, the achievement of desired results.
